Is this what it has come to?
Emcee Mysonne is trying to break down the fine elements of the age old discussion in Hip-Hop authencity: snitchin'.
The basis of this video is based upon T.I. doing a recent Crimestoppers video that aired in Atlanta earlier this week. Mysonne is angry about how he felt that T.I. sold out Hip-Hop and "real" niggas in general.
My point is: just because someone has the good sense to call the cops on some senseless violence in the inner-city, does not make you a "snitch". Also, half of these so-call "real niggas" are snitchin' on each other as soon as the D.A. start throwing football numbers of years at these guys when they are in that small room in the police station.
So, his point makes no sense.
The point should be that we should, as a people liberate ourselves so we do not have to depend on the bullshit that comes from drugs, violence, pimpin etc...and eliminate a need for a crimestoppers.
I probably don't fall in the so-called "hood" perspective that some of these guys feel like they understand more than a nigga that grew up around all of the stuff that they glorify. But I digress.
Watch the video and you decide. Do we still need to discuss this foolishness, mane?

"Its been a long time.....I shouldn't have left you.....without some dope beats to step to"
Whats goin on folks. Hopefully the Fresh Produce series hasn't been forgotten already. When you wear so many different hats like I do sometimes things don't go according to schedule. I've still been busy though. Getting ready for the trip to NY...still making beats, and remixing. So lets see what I have for yall today
1. BooCocky - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dml2njye2zo
They might not stand out to most folks, but my favorite part of the beat are the church bells.....kinda reminds me of something you'd hear on a vintage Pastor Troy album.....WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW WHO PASTOR TROY IS!!!!!!
2. Born To Wander - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jmgqoo0tdji
Did I mention that I like bass?
3. Get Rare - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ugrzhinjzjw
To producers out there....don't be afraid to layer your claps, and then don't be afraid to slide one slightly to the left or to the right....gives a cool effect if you ask me.
Now here are a couple of remixes. I'm interested to see the feedback I get from them. I remixed a couple of rappers that seem to rub the online fans the wrong way..lol

Government Foils Skinhead Plot to Assassinate Obama
Skinheads planned to kill Barack Obama and dozens of others in Tennessee, officials say.
Federal agents have disrupted a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate dozens of black students in Tennessee, the ATF said Monday.
In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they broke up plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.
A source in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told FOX News the two skinheads, who were picked up in Crockett County, Tenn., were plotting to shoot 88 black students -- and decapitate 14. The source said officials believe the suspects were planning to attempt an assassination against Obama.
The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.
But officials could not describe how advanced or credible the plot was.
Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the ATF, said the suspects also sought to go on a national killing spree, with Obama as its final target.
"They said that would be their last, final act -- that they would attempt to kill Sen. Obama," Cavanaugh said. "They didn't believe they would be able to do it, but that they would get killed trying."
According to the affidavit, the suspects planned "to drive their vehicle as fast as they could toward Obama shooting at him from the windows."
The court document states that the suspects planned to dress in all-white tuxedos and top hats during the assassination attempt, and that they stated they were willing to die during this attempt.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the campaign would have no comment on the alleged plot. The John McCain campaign also had no comment.
However, a senior Obama campaign official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told FOX News no one in the campaign was notified of the plot before Monday's announcement. Campaign officials say they do not believe the plot posed a serious threat to the Democratic nominee.
The men, Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman 18, of West Helena, Ark., are being held without bond. Agents seized a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and three pistols from the men when they were arrested. Authorities alleged the two men were preparing to break into a gun shop to steal more.
Attorney Joe Byrd, who has been hired to represent Cowart, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.
Cowart and Schlesselman are charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer, and threatening a candidate for president.
According to the affidavit, the two suspects met over the Internet a month ago through a mutual friend. Both claimed to have "very strong beliefs and views regarding 'white power' and 'skinhead' views."
The numbers 14 and 88 are symbols in skinhead culture, referring to a 14-word phrase attributed to an imprisoned white supremacist: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children" and to the eighth letter of the alphabet, H. Two "8"s or "H"s stand for "Heil Hitler."
At this point, there does not appear to be any formal assassination plan, Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren said.
"Whether or not they had the capability or the wherewithal to carry out an attack remains to be seen," he said.
Zahren said the statements about the assassination came out in interviews after the men were arrested last week.
The Secret Service became involved in the investigation once it was clear that an Obama assassination attempt was part of this violent far-reaching plot.
"We don't discount anything," Zahren said, adding that it's one thing for the defendants to make statements, but it's not the same as having an organized assassination plan.
Helena-West Helena, on the Mississippi River in east Arkansas' Delta, is in one of the nation's poorest regions, trailing even parts of Appalachia in its standard of living. Police Chief Fred Fielder said he had never heard of Schlesselman.
However, the reported threat of attacking a school filled with black students worried Fielder. Helena-West Helena, with a population of 12,200, is 66 percent black. "Predominantly black school, take your pick," he said.
The closer we come to the election...we get this.
Well, get ready people. Ignorance is blissful and sad all at the same time.

L'Daialogue DiCaprio's "Unofficial Story of MemphisRap" featured on SOHH.COM
.jpg)
What up,
Getting accolades is always the way to go and also a thing that keeps me going no matter how big or small.
When I wrote the song "Unofficial Story of MemphisRap" (off of the Bluff City Daialogue Mix Album) I knew that it was going to be a slow burn for a lot of people. This was a 9-minute ode to my city that needed to be displayed and interpreted lyrically by me...from a definite non-biased view.
But alot of people online and in the streets LOVE this record. Thousands of downloads and cd's later it seems like the good people over at SOHH.COM recognized the depth of this record also and give it top billing on it's site...and for that I thank them and ask them to lookout for Bluff City Daialogue Part 2.

Euphonetiks Frontman/Elevated Minds Signee Lyrikill Presents Killmatic (NEW MIXTAPE)

What up?
Well, in the mist of many Ovaground releases and other random albums dropping...I have been rocking to my mans Lyrikill's newest project, Killmatic.
No, I'm not riding to this because he's my homeboy.
Also, not because we have a new project album/mixtape coming called Daiabolikill coming early 2009 (pardon the pun).
But, I'm riding to this because my mans came with it. I'm mad that these rhymes was just on the mixtape. Those were album-level bars but I digress.
And the whole tape is inspired by Nas' Illmatic...hence the title Killmatic. So, download that and get Kill's numbers up in this.
Be on the look out for big things from the whole Eupham crew 4 quarter and early 2009. Rumor has it that a crew album is coming soon.

Whats goin on folks. I was hoping to have this in everyone's inbox for Monday morning, but hey...better late than never. My productivity on regular beats slowed up a little during the week, but for good reason. I've been hard at work on my Notorious BIG tribute album. If you haven't herd me mention it before, I'm remixing some of my favorite songs from Ready To Die, and Life After Death. I've completed over half of the project, but I'm still handling the artwork and things of that nature. So you can hear some of the progress I have some snippets of the remixes

Memphis Chess Moves Pt.2:M-Town DJ's Don't Support The "M"?

photo: Memphis DJ Lil' Larry
Stand up slowly.
Step away from your computers and give a long round of applause.
I'll wait.
It doesn't really matter why you are doing it. Just as long as you can give some praise toward who I'm about to introduce to a lot of people again.
Can the city of Memphis (in conjunction with every radio station, rapper, producer, club owner and Memphis music enthusist) please honor Drumma Boy and the whole Drum Squad colective? I have sat amongst a dozen CD's and single-handed went through some of this year's hottest releases and his name (and the colective) continously kept coming up. This is what the new Memphis sound is and is ultimately the future of Memphis music.
One would think with those new musical strides would come new musical opportunities. But that is far from the truth.
The DJ is the gatekeeper and the bridge to get music played in Memphis on a large scale is the DJ. Even in the early days with Club No-Name and Club G, the DJ controlled Memphis. DJ Spanish Fly's mixtapes was a staple along with other DJ-based tapes by others like DJ Paul (Blackhaven), DJ Sound (Frayser), DJ Squeeky (Orange Mound), Juicy J (North Memphis), Lil' Larry (K-97), DJ 007,DJ Freddy Hydro (RIPP Squad DJ's) and many others.
You would think that with all of these legendary DJ's that anyone could get a major street presence in Memphis. That could not be further from the truth.
Payola, artist alligences and a unenthasicatic belief in the Memphis artist (whether rap, blues or rock) has been ingrained in the heads of a many of program directors at the local radio station. It's known fact that Three 6 Mafia are one of the biggest rap acts from Memphis. But we have many other artists that are lacking from that same radio presence that birthed the forefathers of Hip Hop in the city.
Where is the love?
DJ's like DJ Drama, DJ Kay Slay and DJ Chuck T have taken the role of the gatekeepers (to a certain extent) and opened their radio markets to the world. Young Jeezy, Papoose and many others have come from these gatekeepers with a limited amount of payola action to boot.
The younger DJ's out of Memphis like DJ EFeezy, DJ Mike Tee and DJ Kenny Kaign are blazing the trails to make those things happen. Even DJ Lil' Larry has gained a strong affiliation with DJ Drama's Atlanta-based Aphilliates. Most of these new DJ's are breaking artists because they want to see Memphis as one of the epicenters of the South. We are from the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock n roll. Now, we need to act like it.
I see it like New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey. New York is the birthplace of Hip Hop but more importantly, it's the center of what people recognize what is the East Coast. New Jersey is what I like to call the "swagger" of the East Coast. Philadelphia is what I like to call the "heart of the East Coast.
Atlanta is what New York is now when people look towards the South. Houston would most definitely be the "swagger" capital of the South with the screw music and the gold grills.
But I feel that if we all work and recognize the common goal is in Memphis, we will be akin to Philadelphia in that analogy. We all know where the "get buck" sound, juiking (jookin') and that undeniable soul sound comes from. Now it is time for our DJ's to stand up and let the world know.
